Bert is a pure Finn sheep living on a farm in the Macedon Ranges in country Victoria.
I bought his fleece with some of my birthday money in December just gone.
Bert is probably 1 year old and this may have been his first shear.
This fleece is so soft and the quality is exceptional. Im so lucky I decided to buy it because I almost didn't.
Ive given the fleece a cold water soak just to slightly clean the dusty tips and last night and today I finished picking the locks. I will either flick and spin them or I'll get my hackle and comb out them to make my own top from it.
I'm not spinning tonight as I'm going to knit on my next handspun emotional support chicken that I started a while ago.
